Scoring Scales make specific learning goals for each grade. Each measurement topic has its own scoring scale, which makes it easy for everyone to know exactly how your student is doing. The new scoring scale is based on a four point scale.
4.0 The student demonstrates learning that goes beyond what was taught in class.
3.5 The student attempts to go beyond what was taught in class, but is only partially
successful.
3.0 The student exhibits a solid understanding of the information taught in class and has
successfully reached the grade-level learning goals.
2.5 The student understands basic information taught in class and is partially successful
in meeting the grade-level learning goals.
2.0 The student understands basic details and processes, but is not yet successful in
meeting grade-level learning goals.
1.5 The student is beginning to perform basic skills, but needs some assistance.
1.0 The student can perform basic skills, but only with teacher assistance.
.5 The student can perform some basic skills, but only with teacher assistance.
0 The student cannot perform basic skills, even with teacher assistance.
