A system based on averages of a student’s high and low scores means the low scores will bring their average down. We don’t want your child to be limited by low scores early on. Instead, the NHA scoring scale focuses on their progress. 
 
In tune, in touch: The traditional grading scale didn’t show where, exactly, your child was having trouble. This made it difficult to accurately track student progress. The traditional grading scale also lacked measurable goals and left room for subjective grading.
