Principal Residencies

NHA has established a unique and powerful culture that supports our organizational goals and practices. A Principal Residency program has been established in order to ensure the success of principals joining NHA. Individuals who come to NHA with leadership experience may be asked to take a Residency assignment prior to taking leadership in an NHA school. Principal Residencies typically range from 6-12 months in duration, during which Residents are placed in some of NHA’s highest performing schools. During the residency period, the Principal Residents are expected to take part in NHA’s professional development offerings for school leaders, participate in specific development offerings specifically designed for participants in the Residency program, and develop a plan for their school assignment.
